I can’t wait to share the cutest little stamping craft with you today! If you have stamps and a little scrap wood, you have the beginnings of some adorable stamped wood magnets! This little camper stamp – ohhhh my goodness!! I can hardly stand the cuteness!
Let’s chat supplies!

Here is what I used for this project:
- Small pieces of 3/4″ scrap wood
- Miter saw or a hand saw
- 1″x2″ piece of wood (see cut list below)
- Black ink
- Clear acrylic stamping plate
- Clear polyurethane spray
- Industrial glue
- Embroidery thread (optional)
- Wood burning pen (optional)
Let’s get started!
Step 1: Choose your magnets
With so many cute magnets to choose from – you can’t go wrong!
Step 2: Choose/cut crap wood and sand pieces
Choose pieces of scrap wood that are just large enough to feature the stamp. You may need to cut them down to size.
Step 3: Stamp wood
Mount your stamp to your acrylic mounting blocks. Load your stamp with ink and stamp design to the center of scrap wood pieces.
Step 4: Seal your blocks
I sealed my blocks with a clear polyurethane spray.
Step 5: Get creative!
I used a tiny 1/16″ drill bit and drilled little holes into the arrow design on one of my wood blocks. I then threaded various colors of embroidery thread through the wood block.
I also experimented with my wood burning tool (***I burned the design in BEFORE I sprayed with poly***).
Step 6: Add magnets
I used ultra strong magnets and drilled a very shallow hole for the magnets to sit in once glued. The magnets I linked you to earlier in the post are flat enough that you can just glue these directly to the back of your wood block (no drilling needed). You will want to use industrial glue for this project.
These little stamps would make a great graduation, housewarming, birthday or even holiday gift!
I hope you enjoyed this little stamped wood magnets tutorial! These were so fun to make!
