The less water you add the stiffer your burlap will be.
Add your entire bottle of Mod Podge or glue.
Lay out flat or hang to dry.
I use my driveway, and here in the high desert, it dries fast!
During the winter months, I will improvise by hanging my burlap from a clothes line (inside),
making sure that I place a drop cloth (or tin foil) underneath for the mixture to drip on to as it dries.
That’s it! Once it’s dry you will be able to cut shapes out with precision!
Many have asked why I prefer this method, and the answer is that I can stiffen a large amount of burlap at once, and it’s simply the cheapest (and easiest) way to do that.
