To me there is nothing like a beautiful simple calendar to jot my life’s craziness down on. There is something about using a pen or pencil or my fave a skinny Sharpie to write down appointments etc. This process commits these things to memory (most of the time – okay SOME of the time). Walking through the planner and calendar section at Barnes & Nobles brings me immense calm and happiness.. ha! I’m not even kidding.. that’s what is so funny! However, right now in this season of life, I just can’t justify spending the money on these items, so I decided to create my own.
When thinking about the design I decided I want to see something everyday that inspires me, and immediately a watercolor print (that was sent to me a few years ago on my birthday) painted by Marjorie Ebert came to mind. Marjorie also happens to be my beautiful and talented Grandma! I can look at this everyday and never tire of seeing it.. the colors she chose, the subjects. So, without further adieu (and with her loving permission), I’d like to share the inspiration for our watercolor calendar.
Isn’t this beautiful!?
As you’ll see, I’ve left the calendar blank, mainly so I can use it for any year. You can also upload it in to any picture editing app and add numbers to the blocks etc..
