I am so excited to share the easiest chippy weathered paint technique in the following video tutorial!
(Please excuse the wardrobe adjustment- the struggle is real folks- ha!)
Step 1: Stain
Go ahead and stain the edges of your project and any center areas that you would like the stain to pull through the paint.
Step 2: Vaseline
Apply vaseline to any areas you wish the stain to pull through the greatest. I like to treat many of the edges and several central areas as well.
Step 3: Paint
Generously apply your paint to your project and let dry.
Step 4: Sand
Using a medium to fine grit sand paper – sand your project in the direction of your grain.
Easy as that! I love this technique for a few reasons. It’s quick, the results are dramatic, and you can tailor the amount of distressing you would like each piece to have.
Thank you so much for your support! Please let me know if you have any questions!
Make it a great day!
