Let’s chat supplies!
Here’s what you’ll need:
***Special thanks to Spellbinders® for sponsoring this post and giveaway! In addition to the original content that I have created, I’ve also included affiliate links. All opinions are my own.***
- Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine – 6″ Platform
- Steel Rule Dies
- Foam sheets AND Elmers adhesive spray OR
- Sticky back foam sheets
- Scrap wood and miter saw (optional)
- Paint or ink pads
Let’s get started!
Step 1: Cut out your stamp shapes
Your die sandwich will be clear acrylic plate + die + foam + clear acrylic plate. I recommend cutting 2 of each shape. This will add just a bit of height to your stamp and make it a little easier to use. Especially for the littles.
Step 2: Cut scrap wood
Cut or find scrap wood pieces to fit each stamp.
Step 3: Assemble stamp
First, you are going to want to spray the wood blocks with your Elmers adhesive spray. You won’t need a thick coating. A light spray will do. Let dry for a few seconds before adding your first shape to the center of the block. Repeat this step by spraying the back of the second shape, and adding it to the top of the first shape. Once assembled flip the stamp onto it’s pad, letting the pressure from the block help everything adhere evenly.
Step 4: Start stamping
Get creative! We used acrylic paints and stamp pads for our first experiment!
Think of all the things you could stamp! Table cloths, wood, pillow cases, sheets, curtains, cardstock, the list could go on and on!
