Cannon Beach Oregon has captured our hearts! I’m going to take you through the highlights of our stay in this little piece of Pacific coast paradise with our family of 5.
Here is my brood in front of the epic Haystack Rock. Yes, it was asking far too much to get any of them to hold still and look at the camera. Ha!
We stayed 2 nights, and I would recommend staying at least 3 nights if we were to do it all over again (and we fully intend to).
Haystack Rock, beautiful beach, fabulous food and charming town.
Day 1: The Inn at Cannon Beach
We enjoyed the beautiful setting that is The Inn At Cannon Beach.
The flowers and foliage are lush and vibrant. Paired with the adorable wild bunnies, made this a magical place to call home for two nights.
The bunnies stole the show as far as these kids were concerned! They only came out a couple times in the days we were there, but they are truly so sweet. Guests are encouraged not to touch them as it domesticates them and can interfere with their survival in the colder winter months.
Our room was perfectly comfortable. Our favorite part was having a refrigerator with small freezer and microwave! We were able to make some meals in our room. Mac and Cheese and steamed veggies, as well as sandwiches for our beach day, and popcorn for our movie nights.
The complimentary breakfast featured artisan muffins, and bread, fresh fruit, cereal, juices, coffee, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs etc… it was DELISH!
The Inn at Cannon Beach offers their guests free use of their DVD library, which was a hit for the kids! They also lend camp chairs and umbrellas for comfortable beach lounging, and we took full advantage.
Just a short walk from the beach, we would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Here’s the view from the front porch of our cozy room.
Many of the hotels and lodgings in Cannon Beach are pet-friendly as is the Inn at Cannon Beach, so no need to leave your furry family members at home for this vacation destination!
We so enjoyed our stay here. Such a beautiful setting!
Dinner & Sunset!
As evening approached on night one we headed into town to enjoy some yummy local fare!
We hit up Tom’s Fish & Chips, which features great burgers and seafood, family friendly environment and prices.
Prices range from approximately $4-$16 depending on your selection. Drinks were $2 each.
After dinner, we made our way down the street to view the incredible sunset.
Day 2: Haystack Rock and Beach Day!
I tell you what, September might be the best time of year to visit Cannon Beach! Fewer visitors which made for wide open beaches to explore and have fun with our family.
This little guy washed up feet from us!
The views are spectacular!
During the early afternoon, the tide goes out and you are literally able to walk right up to these great Pacific giants!
The tide pools left behind, create a brand new oasis!
